This module is the 'synoptic' element, and incorporates an opportunity for students to stretch themselves, and show ability to research more broadly, write at greater length and analyse in greater depth.

We are studying a section called 'Topic 1 : Life, Death and Beyond'.

• This requires reflection on your learning from previous modules.
• You are also encouraged to explore a wider variety in terms of different religions and denominations. (This could include more discussion of non-religious perspectives, such as nihilism, existentialism, or humanism.)
• You should also go into more depth with more detailed research.

Projects!

In order to develop your skills for such extended work, both in detail/depth and in terms of making links/breadth, students will undertake a more independent piece of research and present their findings to the class. This is effective for exploring a range of attitudes of both religious and non-religious people throughout history concerning issues of life, death and beyond.
