A common AO2 (assess) question is to ask you to evaluate whether a certain theodicy is a successful response to the problem of evil.

 

In general you should answer these questions by considering what the strengths and weaknesses of the theodicy are, and then deciding for your overall conclusion whether it gives a satisfactory response to the logical and evidential forms of the problem of evil.
